Gynecological Care for the Women of Upstate South Carolina

Spartanburg & Pelham Ob-Gyn provides a full range of gynecologic services in both an ambulatory and inpatient basis. Services are devoted to addressing the individual needs and concerns of our patients. We provide routine and preventive care services as well as a full range of minimally invasive surgical procedures including robotic surgery using the daVinci Surgical System.

DaVinci Robotic Surgery

Our doctors performed the first robotic hysterectomy in South Carolina using the daVinci Surgical System and are the only surgeons in the area certified to perform gynecologic robotic surgery. We are some of the most experienced daVinci gynecologists in the South East and have started the first physician led case observation site in South Carolina.  Gynecologists from around the country come to learn from our doctors.

The Robotic Surgery Center of the Carolinas is a branch of Spartanburg & Pelham ObGyn dedicated to bringing the most advanced and least invasive surgical techniques to the women of the Upstate.

Robotic surgery can be used to treat heavy periods, fibroids, ovarian cysts, pelvic prolapse, and endometriosis.

Benefits of robotic surgery include:

  • Smaller incisions
  • Significantly less pain
  • Faster recovery
  • Shorter hospital stay
  • Lower risk of infections
  • Less blood loss
  • Less scarring
  • In many cases, better outcomes

A simple office test (urodynamics) can determine if you are a candidate for Transobturator Tape - a new, minimally invasive procedure to treat urinary incontinence.

  • Incisions less than half an inch long
  • Over 80% satisfaction rate after 5 years
  • About 15 minutes to perform
